Our
Story
Growing up, sisters Ritika and Harshika Agrawal were always drawn to fabrics adorned with delicate stitches and intricate details. For them, handworked textiles were never just clothes, they were heirlooms, carrying stories of craft and care.
Years later, while Harshika had just completed her MBA and Ritika was in her final year of college, they began to notice a troubling pattern. The kaarigars who had long created their customised hand-embroidered pieces were struggling. Many spoke of inconsistent work, limited exposure, and fading recognition of their craft. Curious and concerned, the sisters sat down with two or three of these artisans to understand the challenges they faced.
What began as conversations soon turned into an initiative. Drawing on Harshika’s managerial and strategic training, and Ritika’s grounding in economics and creativity, they started shaping a model that could truly scale.
Fashion Alley today is more than a boutique. It is a movement to ensure that this art form is not lost, that every kaarigar’s stitch finds the spotlight it deserves, and that customers everywhere can experience the beauty of garments shaped by heritage, skill, and heart.
